North American Health Plans Partners With HealthAtoZ To Enhance Member Health With Comprehensive Online Health Solution

Third Party Administrator to Integrate Online Health Management Portal Disease Management Programs to Help Employer Groups Control Health Care Costs

Monmouth Junction, NJ -Globalhealthfinder today announced that it has licensed its ASP employee health portal to North American Health Plans (NAHP) to enhance their consumer-directed and traditional managed care services with online health/wellness promotion and disease management.

This integration will help NAHP reach out to mid-sized employers, providing them with enhanced service and reduced health care costs.

Globalhealthfinder developed its ASP employee health portal to reduce health care costs through a variety of online programs and tools that help employees discover and manage their health risks and chronic conditions.

Globalhealthfinder's ASP employee health portal will aid NAHP in servicing its clients by:

  • Identifying and funneling high- and moderate-risk individuals to online and traditional disease management interventions.
  • Integrating data flow between online and traditional disease management.
  • Providing online support services for employees enrolled in consumer-directed health plans and traditional self-funded plans.

Employees of NAHP's clients logging on to the portal complete an online Health Risk Appraisal (HRA). Completing the HRA provides them with a detailed explanation of their wellness, health risks and concerns. Globalhealthfinder's portal then tailors a health homepage called the "Health Dashboard" for each employee based upon his or her personal profile.

The Health Dashboard presents health information, disease management and health promotion programs; action steps and more. Each module is individually tailored to address each employee's special needs. These targeted interventions promote healthy lifestyles and compliance with proper guidelines for condition management.

Email messages sent by the Health Dashboard promote HRA completion, compliance and utilization and the adoption of healthier lifestyles.

The portal features several tools designed to help employees manage the additional responsibilities associated with consumer-directed plans.

Employees can keep a detailed Personal Health Record (PHR) online and use it to better coordinate the care they receive. The PHR also sends reminders for preventative screenings and medication refills, and automatically warns employees of harmful drug interactions.
Globalhealthfinder's portal provides NAHP and its clients with aggregate reports on demographics, risk factors and more via the portal's comprehensive reporting back-end. Combined with HRA data, this information increases the accuracy of organizational health analysis, improves accuracy and offers more detail on employee self-care and health than before.
